OPENING OF NEW STRETCH OF EXPRESSWAY -
The Outer Colombo
Expressway was further extended from the present exit of Kaduwela (Kothalawela)
upto Kadawatha (on the Kandy Road) - a stretch of 17 kms which can be covered
in approximately 10 mts, further easing the burden of running into traffic.
This will be very helpful
to motorists travelling away from Colombo and taking the Kandy road. Also the
person travelling from the Katunayake International Airport towards the South
can get there faster as they can access the Expressway from the Biyagama Entrance,
without having to come to Kothalawela.
